How to Lock a Particular Drive/Pen Drive Without Any Software

Now a day security is very important thing for computers. For securing any drive or pen drive, we use soft wares like Folder Lock, Universal Shield, and many more. These soft wares are very costly and very hard to use. I think there should be an easy and cost effective way to secure these things. Today I will teach you how to secure any drive or pen drive without any software. I have used Windows 7 ultimate operating system for this tutorial. It will also work on Windows vista ultimate operating system, but I do not know about operating systems whether it will work or not, but I can definitely tell that you not able to do this on windows xp (sorry xp users!). so, let’s move on to the tutorial:
Steps:
1 1. First, insert your pen drive in to the computer. (For locking pen drive)
2 2. Then, select the drive you want to lock, and right click.

3 3. The screen below will appear, please wait until the main screen appears.

4 4. Now work as the following images:

5 5. You will see  the following dialogue box:

6.      After finishing, you will see following box: (Here, click close.)

7.      Voila!!! Your work is done!!! Now every time you insert the locked drive/double click the locked drive, you will see this window.

The drive will only open only if you enter the correct password, otherwise not. In windows xp, you will be able to unlock and read the contents, but you will not be able to copy anything in the drive. But still, this is the most secure and cost-effective system for securing a drive/pen drive.

Thank you.
